Job Overview:

Join our team at Art Vision Painting Ltd as a Painter. We are seeking a dedicated individual who possesses a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to various odours associated with painting materials.
Work Setting:
  • Work will be conducted at multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and ensuring they are ready for painting.
  • Repair any cracks and holes to create a smooth finish.
  • Mix paints to achieve the desired colour and texture.
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and fabric to walls as needed.
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages, ensuring safety during the application process.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects.
Equipment Proficiency:
  • Experience with brush painting and conventional spray painting.
  • Familiarity with patterned rollers and roller painting techniques.
Surface Preparation Skills:
  • Knowledge of drywall taping and patching.
  • Experience with steam cleaning and sandblasting techniques.
Specialization in Coatings:
  • Ability to work with fire retardants and multi-colour finishes.
  • Proficient in paint spraying methods.
Transportation Requirements:
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
Physical Demands:
  • Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours accurately.
  • Must be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required.
  • This role is physically demanding.
Weight Handling:
  • Must be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Attributes:
  • Strong client focus and efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and reliability are key traits.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience:
  • Previous experience of 1 to less than 7 months is preferred.
  • This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week.
