Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at West Coast Building Restoration Inc. as a key member of our restoration team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and achieve the desired density.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure accuracy.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, such as trowels and grinders.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to secure structures.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and prevent damage.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to their original condition.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to extend their lifespan.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Handle heavy loads and work at heights, requiring attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Stand for extended periods and work in a variety of weather conditions.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in concrete finishing or a related field.
