Senior Demand Forecast Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Planning Manager, the Senior Demand Planner plays a crucial role in managing the sales forecasting process that directs the planning of production and distribution of finished goods, alongside the procurement of raw materials and consumables. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with the management team, sales, customer service, finance, and marketing departments. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing a Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP) in partnership with department heads.
Additionally, this role will involve supporting the implementation of a new ERP system. The ideal candidate should possess experience with MRP/ERP systems and a solid understanding of forecasting, planning, and supply chain methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate 12-month forecasts at various levels of aggregation utilizing diverse statistical techniques, including regression and time series analysis;
- Conduct weekly data analysis and cleansing to identify and document anomalies, special events, and other variables that influence final forecasts;
- Collaborate with sales managers to collect insights on product trends, warehouse stocking strategies, competitor analysis, and other relevant data for sales forecasts;
- Maintain the monthly Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP) with other organizational leaders to align sales objectives, develop sales strategies, and recognize external factors that may affect forecasts;
- Evaluate discrepancies between actual sales and forecasts (forecast accuracy) to comprehend the variables impacting demand and articulate these at monthly S&OP meetings;
- Assist in establishing minimum-maximum inventory levels, inventory turnover rates, service levels, and overstock targets to meet corporate standards across all Techo-Bloc distribution centers, while also formulating a production capacity plan, including production hours and product mix by plant;
- Identify and assist in resolving conflicts related to supply, demand, and capacity availability, and propose product life cycles, including forecasts for new products and identifying items for discontinuation.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, statistics, or a related field;
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in demand planning and analysis;
- Strong knowledge of statistics and forecasting techniques;
- Familiarity with R, Python, and VBA is advantageous;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, XLookup, Power Queries, graphs, etc.);
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems;
- APICS - CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) certification is a plus;
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English (English proficiency is necessary for serving customers in the USA).
