Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Demand Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales forecasts, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop 12-month forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation using advanced statistical methods, including regression and time series analysis.
  • Collaborate with sales managers to gather market intelligence, product trends, and competitor analysis to inform sales forecasts.
  • Maintain the monthly Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP) with senior leadership to align sales objectives, establish sales strategies, and identify external variables impacting forecasts.
  • Analyze variances between actual sales and forecasts to understand demand drivers and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist in establishing minimum-maximum inventory, inventory turns, service level, and overstock targets to meet corporate standards.
  • Develop a production capacity plan, including production hours and product mix by plant, to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts related to supply, demand, and capacity availability, and propose product life cycles, including forecasts for new products and identification of products for discontinuation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in demand planning and analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLookup, Power Queries, and graphs.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and statistical software, such as R or Python.
  • APICS - CPIM certification is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
