About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Fleet Manager to join our team at AL AZLAAN LOGISTICS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation fleet, ensuring efficient and effective management of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the performance of our transportation fleet on a daily basis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor Department Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our logistics operations, making data-driven decisions to drive improvement.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to ensure the smooth operation of our transportation fleet, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
  • Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial management of our logistics operations, ensuring that expenses are controlled and budgets are met.
  • Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Oversee Transportation Service Rates: Monitor and adjust transportation service rates to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage the inventory of goods and materials, ensuring that stock levels are optimal and that inventory is accurately tracked.
  • Record Cargo Information: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Provide Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Develop and implement training programs to promote diversity and inclusion, creating a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
    Support for Youths
    • Provide Awareness Training: Develop and implement training programs to promote awareness and understanding of the needs of youth, creating a welcoming work environment.
    Support for Indigenous People
    • Provide Cultural Competency Training: Develop and implement training programs to promote cultural competency and awareness, creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Work Environment: This is a permanent position with a 37.5 hour work week. The work language is English.
