Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Program Developer to join our team at the War Museum. As a Training Program Developer, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and delivering training programs focused on content and skills for our front-line staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training programs to support the museum's education and programming initiatives;
  • Create standards and methods for interpretation and programming;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and assess learning outcomes;
  • Develop and implement training plans and materials;
  • Deliver training and evaluation activities;
  • Work with and interact with the public;
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of museum interpretation techniques and adult education principles;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement training programs;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in adult education and training.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience in developing, delivering, and assessing formal training programs for adults;
  • College diploma in education, museum studies, social sciences, humanities, or an accredited apprenticeship program or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Strong communication, presentation, and training delivery skills;
  • Knowledge of museum interpretation techniques and adult education principles;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
