Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead business transformation initiatives at the Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving project success from initiation to implementation, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead small to medium complexity projects, and support larger projects as needed.
  2. Manage and validate financial forecasts, and conduct ongoing reconciliation.
  3. Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  4. Monitor and track project performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  5. Provide guidance to project sponsors on project implementation and sustainment, resulting in successful project outcomes.
  6. Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including business, operational, and technology deliverables.
  7. Develop and implement change management plans to deliver expected project benefits and adoption.
  8. Execute project requirements in governance frameworks focused on risk appetite, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  9. Develop project management artifacts, adhering to applicable enterprise standards.
  10. Monitor and control project deliverables, making recommendations and adjustments to the overall project plan as needed.
  11. Provide project sponsors with advice on the viability of the business case throughout the project.
  12. Identify and mitigate project risks, establishing effective risk mitigation from the outset.
  13. Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, communicating effectively with project sponsors and other stakeholders.
  14. Take ownership and accountability for project problems, working independently to resolve them.
  15. Represent the project in project team meetings, governance forums, and inter-department forums.
Requirements
  1. Typically between 4-6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Project management experience, with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Strong entrepreneurial, judgment, learning agility, and technical skills.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and team skills.
  5. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and make data-driven decisions.
