We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Mental Health & Addiction Services team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. Reporting to the Manager, the Team Lead will coordinate and supervise the operation of community-based mental health programs that deliver mental health and addiction assessment, treatment, and disposition planning to clients and their families with mental health disorders across the lifespan.
The Team Lead will ensure and oversee the provision of comprehensive services to this target population, liaising with local inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services and agencies as well as with inpatient mental health units to promote consistency and continuity of patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy, and be licensed with the applicable body. They will have three years' experience with Mental Health & Addictions intervention, providing evidence-based therapeutic intervention to Mental Health & Addictions clients.
The Team Lead will be responsible for ensuring all clinical staff provide effective and evidence-based treatment modalities, identifying areas for service improvement, and facilitating and evaluating quality initiatives. They will also draft Standard Operating Procedures, orientation materials, and other guidelines for care, and provide clinical leadership and supervision to the multi-disciplinary team.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, families, and healthcare professionals. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
