Food Service Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and coordinate the work of designated staff, including scheduling, evaluating performance, and providing training and development opportunities.
- Ensure Quality and Safety Standards: Ensure that all food service operations meet established standards of quality, safety, and sanitation, including the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals.
- Manage Inventory and Supplies: Maintain and update inventory levels of food supplies, paper products, and other essential items, and ensure that orders are placed and received in a timely manner.
- Participate in Quality Assurance Program: Participate in the departmental Quality Assurance Program, including the completion of tray audits, sanitation and safety audits, and temperature records.
- Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and sanitation regulations, including the maintenance of equipment and work areas.
- Monitor and Improve Operations: Monitor and identify areas for improvement in job routines and provide input into the development and updating of job descriptions and policies.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain and update computerized records, including the Master Staffing Schedule and records of sick leave, statutory holiday, vacation, and leaves of absence.
- Education and Experience: Graduation from a recognized two-year program in Food Service Supervision, plus one year recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current Food Safe Level II Certificate: Possession of a current Food Safe Level II certificate.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to deal with others effectively; physical ability to perform the duties of the position; ability to supervise; ability to organize work; and ability to operate related equipment.
