Role Summary
What is the opportunity?
As an integral part of the client service team, the International Private Banking Associate plays a crucial role in crafting sales and service strategies through consistent client engagement. You will provide direct assistance to RBC Private Banking clients across various activities.
Key Responsibilities
- In your capacity as an International Private Banking Associate, you will engage with all new clients, demonstrating how the role enhances support for Private Bankers and delivers exceptional service to high-net-worth clients.
- You will serve as the primary liaison for both new and existing clients, ensuring seamless coordination of sales and service with product and service experts.
- With a solution-oriented mindset, you will address client issues promptly, keeping the Private Banker informed of any significant concerns or escalations.
- Your expertise in sales and client service will enable you to identify opportunities that foster client retention, revenue growth, and referrals.
- You will assist clients with various requests, including processing transactions, wire transfers, and managing daily investment renewals efficiently.
- Leveraging your technological proficiency, you will optimize the use of tools (such as Financial Literacy and Sales Pipeline) to maintain accurate records and document all relevant client interactions and outcomes.
- As part of the International Private Banking team, you may be required to operate from various locations as needed.
Qualifications for Success
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in retail banking.
- Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese is required.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated client service excellence.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
- Support from your Manager is necessary to apply for this position.
- Flexibility to work from various locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of IFIC and/or CSC certifications.
- Post-secondary education in Commerce or Business Administration.
- A foundational understanding of investment principles and a comprehensive knowledge of RBC products and services.
