Surgical Program Performance Analyst

Position Overview:

As a key player in the management of surgical wait times, you will lead initiatives aimed at optimizing surgical access and enhancing program efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and maintaining performance metrics, ensuring that our surgical services meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the oversight of surgical wait times and provide strategic guidance on their management.
  • Establish and regularly update performance indicators to track surgical program efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of surgical access within the CISSS-CA, identifying gaps and recommending actionable solutions.
  • Ensure the integrity of data in surgical waitlists, making necessary corrections to maintain accuracy.
  • Compile and present various data and statistics related to the surgical program.
  • Perform quality audits to validate the accuracy of waitlist data.
  • Design and implement various digital tools to support surgical program management.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Facilitate work committees as required by management.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Specific Duties:

  • Regularly validate and rectify errors in the OPÉRA system.
  • Analyze and report on surgical access disparities at regional, local, and specialty levels.
  • Create visual tools to effectively communicate waiting list data.
  • Provide training to staff on the surgical waitlist management systems.
  • Assist teams in utilizing the OPÉRA system effectively.
  • Support the development of a surgical priority modeling framework.
  • Contribute to accountability reporting processes.
  • Deliver training sessions for OPÉRA users.
  • Develop tools to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Assist with updates to the OPÉRA system.
  • Collaborate on efforts to harmonize system functionalities.
  • Propose and regularly update performance indicators.
  • Create a visual Power BI tool for monitoring regional surgery waitlists.
  • Provide surgical wait and production data as needed.
  • Assist in the enhancement of the surgery program dashboard.
  • Support service leaders in generating statistical reports.
