Property Accounting Manager

Our esteemed client is in search of a Property Accounting Manager to oversee their financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting policies, procedures, and reporting processes related to Property and Capital Accounting, while striving for ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the oversight of property and capital accounting, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Actively pursue opportunities for increased efficiency and operational enhancements.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop and implement detailed strategies aimed at optimizing accounting and reporting workflows.
  • Review and manage team outputs, including reconciliations, financial statement disclosures, and monthly and quarterly analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with Property and Asset-related US GAAP accounting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of annual group depreciation studies.
  • Facilitate the integration of property and capital accounting systems (SAP ECC and S4, and Powerplan).
  • Assess the implications of improvement initiatives on property accounting deliverables for regulatory and tax reporting.
  • Foster effective relationships with various internal stakeholders.
  • Provide accounting insights and recommendations for significant property transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable Internal Control (SOX) requirements in accounting and reporting processes.
  • Address inquiries from auditors and internal reviewers promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and CPA designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting policy, and/or US GAAP/IFRS interpretation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements for public companies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
