Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a long-term care setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in gerontology and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for administering medications, conducting specimen collection, and ensuring infection control. Additionally, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative care, monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and ensure infection control
  • Conduct specimen collection and provide pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large caseload. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
