Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files
  • Take vital signs
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Experience an asset
