Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management.

About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a nursing home/home for the aged setting. This includes administering medications, applying aseptic techniques, conducting specimen collection, and monitoring nutritional intake.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Apply aseptic techniques to prevent infection
  • Conduct specimen collection and testing
  • Monitor patients' nutritional intake and provide guidance on healthy eating habits
  • Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Take vital signs and record them in patient files
  • Clean and sterilize the operating room and instruments
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care
  • Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
