Job Overview

We are looking for a committed Logistics and Inventory Specialist to oversee the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations at Great Slave Helicopters 2018 Ltd. The successful candidate will be integral in managing inventory levels, safeguarding supplies, and ensuring the accuracy of documentation related to daily operational activities.

The Logistics and Inventory Specialist will also be tasked with maintaining effective communication and logistical systems within the organization, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing parts adhere to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance of all incoming and outgoing parts with company policies and procedures.

- Manage timely shipping and receiving of parts.

- Safeguard that all parts are securely stored in designated locations.

- Maintain an organized filing system for all paperwork and reports relevant to the warehouse.

- Keep accurate records of all goods shipped, received, and stored.

- Oversee proper storage of stock in designated areas.

- Assist in planning the utilization of storage space and requirements for storage aids.

- Communicate any shipping or receiving delays to management.

- Facilitate the picking of parts for engineers and ensure proper assignment to aircraft.

- Prepare shipments and ensure compliance with packaging standards.

- Ensure all shipments comply with Dangerous Goods regulations.

- Manage collection and delivery of parts as required.

- Ensure all parts transactions are accurately recorded in the inventory management system.

- Distribute and deliver parts using the most efficient methods.

- Flexibility to work after hours or on weekends as needed.

- Support operational requirements promptly when requested.

- Conduct all duties with appropriate interpersonal skills.

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to team success.

- Uphold a strong focus on safety.

- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 education, with post-secondary exposure preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Valid driver's license and certifications in WHMIS, Dangerous Goods handling, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Completion of a Spills Containment Course.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
