Job Title: Expeditor / Shop Assistant (Yellowknife)

MATRIX Camps and Logistics is a leading provider of camps, logistics, and aviation management services to various clients in the resource and service sectors. We prioritize safety, transparency, and cost-effectiveness in our operations.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Expeditor / Shop Assistant to join our team at our Yellowknife facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment maintenance and repair: disassemble, test, clean, reassemble, and re-pack equipment for deployment.
  • Interact with suppliers to expedite purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Verify receipt of materials and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all inbound and outbound freight.
  • Meet client deliverables by expediting suppliers and materials to job sites.
  • Perform ad-hoc administration and general labor duties as required.
  • Ensure staff safety and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Assist with submitting timesheets for Matrix staff.
  • Ensure transportation protocols are followed by drivers.
  • Support the Buyer in ensuring inventory, purchasing, and receiving information is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an expeditor role.
  • Trades experience is a valuable asset (Carpentry, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, etc.).
  • Above-average Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Purchasing and data entry experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, transportation, or retail industries.
  • Reliable and physically capable of performing job requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver's abstract.
  • Level 1 First Aid Certification or equivalent 2-day course.
  • WHMIS 2015.
  • Forklift License (an asset).
  • Building/trades experience.
  • Camp experience (an asset).
