About the Role

Interior Health Authority is seeking a Casual Food Services Supervisor to join our team at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC. As a key member of our Support Services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Staff: Lead and direct a team of food service staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Menu Planning and Recipe Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to plan and create menus that meet the nutritional and therapeutic needs of our patients and staff.
  • Inventory Management and Supply Chain: Estimate food requirements, place orders, and manage supply chain logistics to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Patient and Family Engagement: Visit patients and families to gather dietary information and provide personalized meal service.
  • Financial Management: Monitor expenses, develop budget recommendations, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Community Program Coordination: Coordinate meal services for community programs, such as Meals on Wheels.
  • Cafeteria Operations: Manage cafeteria services, pricing, staffing, and related tasks to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct audits to maintain food service standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Food Storage and Handling: Oversee food storage and handling procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Food Services Supervisor who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality food service experience. If you have a diploma in Food Service/Nutrition Management and a minimum of 1 year of recent experience, we encourage you to apply.
