CareerBeacon is looking for a dedicated professional to fill the role of Senior Business Analyst within the Technology Services Division, specifically in the Health Application Services unit.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Manager of Health Applications, the Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the user community to collect business requirements and perform workflow analysis, converting them into functional benefits that facilitate the design and successful deployment of applications across the organization.

Your Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Collaborating with both technical and business teams to assess business needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Supporting the team in the creation, review, and updating of deliverables, including business process diagrams, standard operating procedures, functional requirements, and status reports.
  • Maintaining strong connections and collaboration with project managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Participating in the planning, development, and implementation of systems, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Being accountable for the maintenance and support of these systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Ensuring systems are configured in accordance with architectural standards and guidelines.
  • Assisting with functional, integration, and user acceptance testing as necessary.
  • Serving as a resource for team members to facilitate daily activities and advance initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
  • A post-secondary education of four (4) years in Computer Science, Business, Health Sciences, or a related field, along with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; or a two (2) year post-secondary education in the same fields with at least seven (7) years of relevant experience.

Depending on the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be considered for further evaluation.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates with training or experience in:

  • Health care environments.
  • Meditech or Allscripts Clinical Information Systems.
  • Troubleshooting principles and issue resolution techniques.
  • Leadership or supervisory roles, including coaching and team-building skills.
  • Business Analyst Certifications such as ECBA, PMI-PBA, CCBA, BCS Certificate in Business Analysis Practice, CBAP, or Scrum Master.
Operational Requirements
  • Travel within the province may be necessary.
  • Availability for periodic off-hours on-call support is required.
  • Candidates will undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary: $63,700 - $88,972 annually - Pay Band 5 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
