Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Clinical Business Analyst to contribute significantly to our operations. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in evaluating clinical data, enhancing healthcare workflows, and ensuring the seamless functionality of clinical systems. This position requires close collaboration with healthcare professionals, IT specialists, and various stakeholders to develop cutting-edge solutions that improve patient care and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of standardized order sets, documentation frameworks, and workflows utilized by healthcare practitioners.
  • Engage with team members, Subject Matter Experts, and clinical stakeholders to collect business requirements and design new standards for province-wide implementation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert regarding the influence of Clinical Information Systems (CIS) and the digitization of clinical workflows on content and procedure design.
  • Work alongside the Project Manager to formulate and sustain comprehensive project plans while aiding in complex problem resolution.
  • Collect and articulate business and system requirements, perform gap analyses, create design documentation, and facilitate engagement sessions to meet project goals.
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships across various business lines to ensure alignment of business and IT needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, and business process analysis.
  • At least 3 years of full-time experience in health information systems and/or healthcare operations.
  • Preferred experience in clinical business analysis areas such as Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, and ancillary services.
  • Leadership experience in implementing clinical information solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with project teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project streams simultaneously.
  • Experience as a regulated healthcare provider in an operational capacity.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience within public health authorities is advantageous.
