About the Role:

Verve Senior Living is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our residence, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and adhere to continuous quality improvement standards to ensure exceptional resident care and satisfaction.
  • Adhere to infection prevention control protocols to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a safe environment for residents.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning, laundry, and vacuuming of resident suites, as well as clean common areas, in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
  • Replenish supplies as needed and maintain a clean and organized housekeeping room, closets, equipment, and carts.
  • Provide general assistance to residents as required, including answering questions and providing support with daily tasks.
  • Report any equipment or maintenance concerns to the Environmental Services Manager or designate.
  • Complete Occupational Health and Safety audits as assigned and maintain effective communication with colleagues and supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar housekeeping position preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable and responsible, with a positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
