About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Prokare Support Services Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medical Support: Provide basic medical care, including administering suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as required.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by making beds, cleaning rooms, and restocking supplies.
  • Communication: Respond to patient call signals, deliver messages, and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare staff.
  • Transportation: Safely transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with inventory management, requisitioning supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 44 hours per week.
