Position Summary
The Retail Team Supervisor serves as a vital link between the leadership team and sales associates, facilitating operational functions and inspiring the team to surpass objectives. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role offers support and coverage in the absence of Store and Assistant Managers, while consistently modeling exemplary sales and customer service behaviors to foster a positive in-store atmosphere.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a retail apparel setting; luxury retail experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a sales team and recognized as a peer leader.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems, daily financial procedures, and timely reporting.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience.
- Able to collaborate effectively while also being self-driven.
- Flexible availability for various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Impact and Responsibilities
- Foster a customer-centric sales culture and enhance brand loyalty through in-depth product knowledge.
- Collaborate with store management to implement action plans that optimize performance and ensure smooth execution of operational tasks.
- Contribute innovative ideas to the leadership team aimed at boosting productivity and improving store operations.
- Assist in onboarding and training new associates.
- Coach team members on customer service principles and provide constructive feedback.
- Help resolve customer service issues effectively.
- Oversee and delegate tasks to maximize operational efficiency.
- Communicate performance feedback to store management regarding individual and team contributions.
- Ensure that team members receive scheduled breaks and meal periods.
- Promote open communication on the sales floor.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Execute opening and closing procedures, along with any inventory tasks as assigned.
