About the Opportunity

Westinghouse Electric Canada is a leading supplier of custom equipment, process systems, and engineering consultant services for the Nuclear industry in Canada. We are seeking a skilled Parts Specialist to join our innovative team that supports our mission to provide clean energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the delivery of project manufacturing activities and deliverables to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Detailed planning for manufacturing activities related to project deliveries.
  • Coordination of tasks related to preparation for manufacturing activities (ordering of tooling, fixturing, consumables, etc.).
  • Identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing operation.
  • Supporting the execution of manufacturing activities on customer projects by providing technical input/oversight on planned tasks.
  • Leading the manufacturing team members through emergent technical challenges, including the assessment and dispositioning of manufacturing non-conformances.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing techniques, welding procedures or specifications, and associated inspection techniques.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment.
