Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Associate to join our team at Newmarket Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to guests, directing them to contacts or service areas as needed.
  • Process information required to provide customer service, including responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Record and relay important information to guests and staff, ensuring seamless communication throughout the hotel.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as filing, sorting, and distributing mail, as well as data entry and other clerical duties.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Calculate billing charges and maintain accurate records of guest transactions.
  • Monitor mobile radio or telephone for important messages and updates.
  • Provide directory assistance and relay service to guests with disabilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of hotel software systems.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
