About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at End of The Roll Thunder Bay. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of floor coverings for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings.
  • Installation and Repair: Prepare and install hardwood floors, inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Equipment Operation: Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting and perform double-bond carpet installations.
  • Specialized Installation: Install vinyl or resilient tiles, vinyl or resilient sheets, hardwood strip flooring, linoleum, flexible PVC sheet goods, and carpets/rugs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Tools and Equipment: Own tools and steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, team player, and willing to travel.
