About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at End of The Roll Thunder Bay. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark them accurately, and prepare them for installation.
  • Install Resilient Flooring: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl or resilient tiles, vinyl or resilient sheets, and flexible PVC sheet goods.
  • Install Hardwood Flooring: Prepare and install hardwood floors, including measuring, cutting, and fitting the flooring.
  • Inspect and Repair Flooring: Inspect installed flooring for defects and repair or replace damaged areas.
  • Remove Existing Flooring: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations.
  • Operate Equipment: Use knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting and perform double-bond carpet installations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Tools and Equipment: Own tools and steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, team player, and willing to travel.
