About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage a team of culinary staff to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to optimize restaurant profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other department heads to achieve business objectives and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Recruit, train, and develop culinary staff to achieve their full potential and maintain a high level of employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Apprenticeship or college-level accreditation in culinary arts.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining high culinary standards.
