About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Gate Gourmet, a leading provider of catering and provisioning services for the airline industry. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our flight kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the culinary team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for our airline customers.
  • Develop and implement food safety and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize food production and minimize waste.
  • Provide training and coaching to junior staff members to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that food meets the required standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Junior Sous Chef and/or Sous Chef.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a cook.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a high-volume, manufacturing, food production, restaurant, or catering environment.
  • In-flight catering experience or experience in a high-volume food service environment is an asset.
