About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Blue Canoe Waterfront Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to our guests.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and scheduling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all dishes are prepared to our high standards.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role.
  • Proven track record of menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
