Key Responsibilities
  • Model environments utilizing lidar data, measurements, and camera specifications as needed. UV mapping of objects when required.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Camera/Object matchmove, including hand-keying cameras and objects in Maya.
  • Execute Rotoanimation for 3D character rigs to align precisely with live-action performances, including facial animation.
  • Exhibit strong layout capabilities, particularly in animating camera track overs.
  • Maintain a meticulous approach with a self-critical perspective and high standards, ensuring quality control of your own shots.
  • Employ strong problem-solving skills and independently identify solutions.
  • Provide accurate time estimates and collaborate on bidding hours with production teams.
  • Exhibit high motivation and work effectively within the entire team/production, mentoring junior artists.
  • Communicate issues clearly and concisely to Matchmove Leads & Supervisors.
  • Follow directions diligently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Stay informed about current advancements in matchmove tools for computer graphics.
  • Perform well under pressure, demonstrating excellent time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines while accommodating client revisions promptly.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm for new challenges in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Be a collaborative team player who thrives in a cooperative setting.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in computer graphics or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Matchmove Artist.
  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring a team.
  • Expertise in Syntheyes and/or 3de.
  • Strong proficiency in Maya.
  • Basic knowledge of Nuke.
  • Experience with soft tracking (vertex animation without rig) is a plus.
  • Ability to script in MEL and Python is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Syntheyes - Geo H is a plus.
  • Experience with Keentools is a plus and will be required to learn.
