Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to meet sales targets and control expenses across multiple store locations.
  • Partner with store leaders to drive business initiatives and achieve store-specific business plans.
  • Ensure store productivity targets are met, including sales per hour, adt, upt, and capture rate.
  • Coach and develop store managers to take ownership of their business and maintain high standards.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess standards, expectations, and action plans to drive business forward.
  • Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on sales training and client service.
  • Act as a liaison between stores, corporate partners, buyers, and visual directors to ensure merchandise assortments reflect the brand strategy and stock levels meet business needs.
Leadership Presence and Talent Development:
  • Communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and clients.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire store team members, developing a leadership talent pool for succession planning.
  • Assist store leaders in training, coaching, and development, ensuring customer service standards, visual standards, and employee relations compliance.
  • Implement and monitor store training and development programs, including new hire onboarding, clienteling standards, and sales training.
  • Touch base with each store leader weekly to discuss business aspects, provide feedback, and ensure consistent follow-up.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations for direct reports, overseeing the process at the store level and providing feedback on leadership and associate reviews.
Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee and control payroll budget and weekly hours within the area, ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage by reviewing store schedules and adjusting as necessary.
  • Analyze and react to business trends regarding assortment, communicating sell-through, stock levels, and opportunities to increase sales.
  • Ensure the area adheres to all company policies and procedures with integrity.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of new store openings and store renovations, including hiring, opening processes, orientation, training, and inventory management.

We're looking for an accomplished individual with a passion for excellence, proven ability to develop and retain top talent, and a strong business acumen, including retail math and P&L responsibility.   • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of management experience in luxury goods or a comparable retail environment with a focus on clienteling
