Technical Safety BC Seeks a Risk Management Expert

We are seeking a seasoned risk management professional to join our Safety System Risk team as the Risk Treatment Program Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and evaluating risks, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance safety measures, and identifying synergies across different teams.

Position Details:

  • Full-Time Position
  • Competitive Pay Grade: $58.32 to $67.55 per hour
  • Reports to the Leader of Safety System Risk

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement risk treatment strategies
  • Work closely with the Safety System Risk Leader to drive risk management initiatives
  • Support the development and maintenance of risk assessment tools
  • Prioritize risk assessment activities to ensure effective risk management
  • Develop decision support tools to inform risk-based decisions
  • Oversee risk treatment programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness
  • Provide risk management expertise to the Executive and Board
  • Advise decision-makers on risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with external partners to share best practices and expertise
  • Present risk management work effectively to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as risk management, business administration, or a related field
  • 6-8 years of experience in risk management, with a strong background in risk assessment and mitigation
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent command of English, with the ability to communicate complex risk management concepts effectively

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in data analysis and risk assessment tools
  • Knowledge of safety risks related to technology, with experience in identifying and mitigating these risks
  • Experience with data analysis tools, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets
