Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager, Employee Benefits and Savings Plans to join our team at Canada Life Assurance Company. As a key member of our Employee Benefits team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and management of our Employee Benefits Plan and providing backup support to our Employee Savings plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical advice to internal partners regarding benefits and savings programs.
  • Research and recommend solutions for complex employee and advisor issues.
  • Compile, analyze, and monitor program data to assess and maintain processes and controls.
  • Assess legislative impacts, environmental trends, and competitive positioning of plans within the portfolio.
  • Develop recommendations, business cases, and secure approval for changes to benefits and savings programs and policies.
  • Improve employee understanding of programs through effective communication strategies and messaging.
  • Support vendor relationships and performance through service level agreements.
  • Support the implementation of the benefits strategy and lead program initiatives.
  • Represent the team on assigned projects and working groups.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with program management, experience designing and implementing HR benefits and savings programs.
  • Experience working on a national and/or multi-provincial plan is a strong asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business/Commerce or related discipline.
  • Group Benefits Associate (GBA), Retirement Plan Associate (RPA) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation is an asset.

The base salary for this position is between $61,900 - $103,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation.
