Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Advisor - Employee Benefits to join our team at Western Financial Group. As an Insurance Advisor - Employee Benefits, you will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of employee benefit clients, providing ongoing support for existing clients, and building your portfolio with the addition of new policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze clients' risks and exposures, providing options and solutions for their consideration and cross-selling Western Financial Group products
  • Provide a detailed action plan to the Manager, Employee Benefits Service Centre for all groups in retention scenarios
  • Manage and execute the New Group enrollment process
  • Execute program renewal processes, including negotiating rates and acceptance of renewal terms; proposing coverage changes; and developing retention strategies for at-risk accounts
  • Update systems with New Group information, client communications, and plan changes
  • Review new business applications, prepare enrolment packages, and follow up with clients to obtain missing information
Requirements
  • LLQP License required
  • Experience working from a desktop computer and navigating web-based platforms
  • Experience providing an exceptional client experience
  • The ability to communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and through email
  • A desire to learn our systems and processes
  • The ability to gauge new opportunities through consistently executed client connections
  • A particular focus on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and providing targeted solutions
