Product Development Manager

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans for our Underground Hardrock product lines. This includes driving sales and service revenue, maintaining and growing relationships with existing and greenfield customers, and sustaining and growing Original Equipment (OE) and Service revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for Underground Hardrock product lines, focusing on Drills, Bolters, Rockdrills, and Retrofits.
• Liaise with technical product support, engineering personnel, Account Managers, and third-party dealers to ensure seamless product delivery and support.
• Advise on technical issues, potential solutions, or product enhancements to mitigate negative impact and drive business growth.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing and greenfield customers, as well as EPCM's, to drive sales and revenue growth.
• Work with the sales team to ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfaction and drive business results.
• Develop and present technical and commercial proposals to existing and prospective customers to drive business growth and revenue.
• Participate in the development of white papers and speaking opportunities to establish yourself as a recognized industry expert.
• Conduct market research, competitive intelligence efforts, and lead cross-functional teams to develop product sales strategies and ensure market-driven product direction.
• Present new product line developments to existing and new customers to drive sales and revenue growth.
• Set and support the direction for new product development initiatives from project launch to commercialization throughout North America.
• Conduct audits and undertake on-site condition assessments of products to ensure quality and reliability.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Trade or engineering qualification, or extensive prior product and technical training within a similar role, with credible knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong customer management experience.
• 5+ years in underground mining, with product and solution sales and commercial experience, and a full understanding of Site Safety and Environmental protocols.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting proposals, RFQ management, and project co-ordination experience.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite (Salesforce knowledge an advantage).
