We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Legal to join our team at MarshallZehr. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in leading, managing, and documenting our underwriting and funding activities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing regulatory documents related to funding loans and issuing advances
- Manage all security documentation required to close loans and advances
- Coordinate with external legal counsel in the preparation, negotiation, execution, and processing of all documentation
- Coordinate internally with Account Managers, Project Managers, and Analysts, as well as the financial group to coordinate fundings and advances
- Support the Principal Broker in complying with regulatory requirements, as needed
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Legal Studies or a related field
- Experience in Mortgage Administration, Asset Management, Commercial Lending, Banking, Financial Services, Real Estate Law, Real Estate Development, and/or Underwriting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Ability to obtain a mortgage agent license with FSRA (paid for by MarshallZehr, if selected)
