Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Legal to join our team at MarshallZehr. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in leading, managing, and documenting our underwriting and funding activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing regulatory documents related to funding loans and issuing advances
  • Manage all security documentation required to close loans and advances
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel in the preparation, negotiation, execution, and processing of all documentation
  • Coordinate internally with Account Managers, Project Managers, and Analysts, as well as the financial group to coordinate fundings and advances
  • Support the Principal Broker in complying with regulatory requirements, as needed
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Legal Studies or a related field
  • Experience in Mortgage Administration, Asset Management, Commercial Lending, Banking, Financial Services, Real Estate Law, Real Estate Development, and/or Underwriting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Ability to obtain a mortgage agent license with FSRA (paid for by MarshallZehr, if selected)
