Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Mermaid's Seafood Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our restaurant's high standards.
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that our kitchen is always well-stocked and organized.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that our team is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring that our restaurant meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a strong passion for cooking and a willingness to learn are essential.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in our kitchen, and proficiency in English is required.
