About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at 5010401 Ontario Inc. O/A Ramakrishna Indian Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective service.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets to ensure seamless execution and high customer satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong attention to detail.
