Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Associate plays a crucial role in delivering financial, administrative, and clerical support. This includes overseeing payment processes, entering invoice data, managing cheque groups, and tracking expenditures. The Accounts Payable Associate ensures that financial records are precise and current, guaranteeing that vendors and suppliers receive timely payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process invoices weekly in a digital environment, where documents are received electronically or scanned prior to data entry.
  • Prepare and manage weekly cheque groups to facilitate prompt payment processing.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and liaise with suppliers regarding any missing invoices.
  • Engage with suppliers and management through various communication channels.
  • Perform additional accounting-related tasks as needed, including administrative duties such as mail distribution and maintaining organized filing systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Preferred post-secondary education in accounting.
  • Experience in an Accounts Payable position is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Yardi Voyager and PAYScan is a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and PDF software.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

A satisfactory reference check and criminal records clearance are prerequisites for this role.
