Position Overview

The Financial Operations Specialist plays an essential role within the Finance department at Athletics & Recreation. This position encompasses responsibilities such as managing accounts receivable, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, processing invoices, performing reconciliations, and documenting financial transactions. The specialist is tasked with maintaining precise financial records and aiding in sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main liaison for internal financial systems
  • Reconcile financial data and report any significant discrepancies
  • Organize and maintain financial documentation
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Propose enhancements to existing processes
  • Prepare and issue invoices while following up on outstanding payments
  • Generate revenue reports for financial analysis
  • Oversee cash flow and point of sale transactions
  • Conduct monthly petty cash reconciliations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Educational Requirements

A minimum of a three-year Community College Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree is required.

Experience Requirements

2-3 years of relevant professional experience is preferred. Familiarity with accounting practices is considered advantageous.
