Position Overview: As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be a vital part of our Customer Support division at Trimble, specifically within Applanix AMS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert technical assistance and guidance to clients, sales teams, and product developers regarding applications, product functionality, installations, and critical issues.
  • Address customer inquiries and aid in troubleshooting intricate challenges during project installation phases.
  • Engage in the technical training of personnel and clients on the utilization of our products.
  • Provide on-site product support, including operational assistance, new system installations, customer training on hardware/software, problem resolution, product trials, and sales demonstrations.
  • Occasionally participate in product technical evaluations, assess the impact of new releases, and review competitive activities, suggesting product improvements to engineering and sales teams.
  • Document modifications, troubleshooting processes, and resolutions effectively.
  • Maintain a comprehensive customer database to ensure quality service.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Geomatics, Geodesy, Surveying, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Navigation, GIS, Geography, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency and experience in Mobile Mapping, Photogrammetry, and Remote Sensing.
  • Familiarity with GNSS/IMU technology is advantageous.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear and comprehensible manner.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for training and support purposes.
  • Capability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
