We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Support Specialist to join our team at CAE Inc. As a key member of our Civil Aftermarket Support group, you will play a critical role in addressing technical issues and providing exceptional support to our global customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Expedite and deploy technical solutions to customers on simulator systems.
- Provide technical support directly to Customer Experience Leads and clients through fault isolation and resolution of technical issues.
- Collaborate with external sales representatives, customer service engineers/technicians, and Global Engineering during anomaly rectification activities.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Hardware Initiatives.
- Provide technical support of Field Service Bulletins and prepare schedule and plan upcoming snag clearance trips.
- Support FSR/CSE/CST and Engineering during snag clearance activities and provide training to customers.
- DEC in electrotechnology or aviation with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of work experience.
- Ability to diagnose failures and use electronic testing equipment and advanced software diagnostic utilities.
- Good working knowledge of control systems, electronics, and PLCs.
- Good electro-mechanical skills and basic knowledge of one or more simulator system(s).
- Client-centered approach and ability to be tactful in sensitive situations.
- Excellent management of priorities and multiple projects.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Good analytical mind with the ability to solve multiple problems.
- Ability to communicate and make yourself understood verbally and in writing.
- Ability to provide explanations and teach best practices, procedures, and work tools.
- Ability to motivate colleagues to achieve results.
- Bilingualism (French and English).
