Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for performing intermediate IMAC activities, handling software installation and upgrades, and providing first-level help desk support.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of field service experience with hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and deployment-related activities. They should also possess strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills, as well as A+ certification. Additionally, they may hold other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate IMAC activities, including hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and deployment-related tasks on PCs, laptops, printers, POS devices, etc.
- Handle software installation and upgrades, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.
- Provide first-level help desk support, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Perform basic LAN and internetworking-related activities, maintaining network connectivity and security.
- Handle bench repairs and remedial maintenance, addressing technical issues promptly.
- Respond to calls from National Dispatch/Call Management Center, updating and closing tickets efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with customers, diagnosing problems, establishing ETA, and obtaining necessary parts.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware deployment and related activities.
- Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills, with A+ certification.
- Vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP) a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Minimum of a diploma from a recognized IT program.
What We Offer
