Job Summary

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time Mathematics Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Mathematics Educator, you will work directly with students in a supportive and engaging environment, helping them to develop their math skills and build their confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach mathematics to students in grades 9-12, focusing on senior math and including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus, and vectors.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, using our proprietary methodologies and philosophies to ensure student success.
  • Work with students one-on-one or in small groups, providing individualized attention and support.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field, such as mathematics, education, or a related field.
  • Fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Teaching certification an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding.
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
