Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Operations Lead to join our team in London, Ontario. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our driver fleet across locations including London, Windsor West, Windsor East, Woodstock, and Wallaceburg.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of drivers for western locations
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to maximize driver performance
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, safety regulations, and procedures
  • Collaborate with drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely customer service
  • Schedule and coordinate driver assignments, routes, and deliveries to meet operational goals and customer demands
  • Monitor driver performance, conduct regular evaluations, and implement improvement plans as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies, including safety standards and vehicle maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to driver activities, performance, and incidents
Qualifications:
  • AZ or DZ license preferred; roll-off or lugger experience is an asset
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste industry
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of making effective decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and transportation management software for tracking and reporting
  • GEOTAB experience is an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
