Our culture reflects the diversity of our city, and we prioritize students\u0027 overall well-being and sense of belonging.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAs a learning organization, humility is our guidepost as we work to continually improve student outcomes in service to them, their families, and the broader community.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWe are seeking a skilled Payroll Operations Support professional to join our team.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Ch2\u003EKey Responsibilities\u003C/h2\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDefine, establish, and implement systems and project control procedures to mitigate significant organizational risk.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProvide direction and training to other members of the Payroll/Benefits team.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMaintain documentation and training materials to ensure consistent application of business processes.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003ECompile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDevelop or implement Payroll policies, procedures, or processes as required.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPrepare payroll-related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, pension, Records of Employment, and other statements.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProvide technical and resource support to the Division.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMust have a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)\u003C/strong\u003E.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMinimum of seven (7) years of experience in payroll and accounting.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EWorking experience in end-to-end payroll cycle and timekeeping is required.\u003C/li\003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EWhat We Offer\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E40 hours annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including Municipal Pension Plan, Vancouver Employee Savings Plan, Extended Health, Dental, Group Life, Long Term Disability, Vacation, and Gratuity Days.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EThis position is 100% in-person/in-office at the VSB Education Centre (1580 West Broadway).\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E"}
