We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for 200+ employees on a bi-weekly basis, maintaining payroll records, and preparing reports for circulation to department heads.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll for 200+ employees on a bi-weekly basis
- Maintain payroll records, including tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for circulation to department heads
- Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures
- Collect and analyze information, including resolving payroll discrepancies
- Manage all questions and requests related to payroll
- Review source documents with necessary verification
- Protect confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
- Properly maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
- Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling
- A minimum of 6 months experience working with Ceridian Dayforce
- General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Previous experience handling high volume multi-provincial payroll
- Certified Payroll detail oriented will be given preference
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Payroll for over 250 employees experience preferred
- Solid understanding of Canadian Payroll
- Remarkable analytical, quantitative, and social skills
