Director of Campus Planning and Development

A senior leadership position within the Physical Resources unit, responsible for delivering on the stewardship mandate through planning, design, and development of the university campus infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead an interdisciplinary team of up to 30 employees, including licensed professionals and support staff, to achieve strategic objectives.
- Manage a $3-million-plus annual operating expense budget and $70-million-plus annual capital expense budget.
- Establish a holistic approach to integrating planning for site and campus development and operations.
- Develop administrative systems, including policy, procedures, and processes, to support senior University leadership.
- Provide strategic leadership to advance the University's sustainability and Physical Resources' stewardship strategies.
- 10-15 years' experience in a senior management role in a facilities department within a major public institution.
- P.ENG or OAA designation is mandatory.
- Undergraduate Degree in Architecture or Engineering combined with relevant professional experience.
- Experience working with senior administrators and provincial and/or municipal authorities.
- Proven leadership ability, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- A strategic thinker who can anticipate changes and drive innovation.
- A leader who can create an environment that promotes change and encourages collaboration.
- Able to analyze complex problems and make sound judgments.
