We seek an Operations Center Process Engineer to enhance our Processing Technical Services team. Your responsibilities will encompass optimizing and refining processes for transforming raw materials into finished products.
This position presents an exciting opportunity for the selected candidate to gain invaluable experience and grow alongside the organization, directly contributing to our collective success.
Reporting to the Superintendent of Processing Technical Services, your key responsibilities will include:
Serving as a safety and quality role model and a credible technical resource across the site Developing and implementing data-driven decision-making tools to enhance the value chain from mining operations to the delivery of final products at port facilities Analyzing operational procedures, process data trends, and equipment functions to optimize processes and meet or exceed production targets Collaborating closely with Control Room Operators, operations, and maintenance teams to safely maximize production and quality Reporting precise operational data to ensure informed decisions throughout the value chainQualifications
To excel in this role, you will possess:
A Bachelor's Degree in Process Engineering or a related discipline Experience in an industrial setting, preferably in Iron Ore or Mineral Processing Leadership experience in a dynamic, highly technical environment focused on process optimization A solid understanding of instrumentation and process control systems A strong commitment to safety Proficient troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues; gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for prompt corrective actions Previous experience with process control and in areas such as Autogenous Grinding, Gravity Separation, Magnetic Separation, Filtration, Flotation, Thickening, and Iron Ore Pelletizing will be advantageousBenefits
